The Challenge:
We initially developed the Social Hour Cocktails brand back in late 2018—before the explosion of cheap spiked seltzers. Our original branding and can design work supported a very successful launch and was award winning multiple times over, but the advent of the hard seltzer crazed necessitated a rebrand to position Social Hour Cocktails and distinctly premium and more authentic to the craft cocktail space.
Execution:
The new Social Hour branding and can designs were influence by the growing craft cocktail movement, timeless spirits label design, and then balanced by an infusion of Millennial and Gen-Z style and swagger. The rebrand has been incredibly successful—Social Hour cocktails have been rewritten about in The New York Times, Vinepair, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, Vogue and Forbes among other publications.
